How it works
Commas that matter on the test
After an introductory phrase, between items in a series, and before a conjunction joining two full sentences.
Apostrophes
It's = it is. Its = belonging to it. Workers' (plural possessive) vs worker's (one worker).
Worked examples
Fix: 'Its been a long week for the drivers.'
- 'Its been' means 'it is been'? No.
- Use the contraction.
- 'It's been a long week for the drivers.'

- • Read 'it's' as 'it is' — if the sentence breaks, use 'its'.
