HIS STORY
Kahlil An'Noor is a community leader, mentor, and tireless advocate for the forgotten youth of America's inner cities. Born and raised in the very neighborhoods he now serves, Kahlil knows firsthand the weight of growing up surrounded by violence, addiction, and limited opportunity.
Community has always been in his make up. Even as a youth, Kahlil felt a pull toward the people around him — showing up, looking out, and stepping in whenever someone needed help. That passion never left him; it only grew louder with every block he walked.
On the frontlines, that calling has meant life-or-death moments. Kahlil has personally administered CPR and Narcan to community members fighting to survive overdoses and medical emergencies. Holding neighbors in those fragile seconds — some he saved, some he could not — lit a fire in him to fight for something bigger: a future where the next generation of children never has to know that pain.
Rather than be defined by those streets, he chose to redefine them. For years, Kahlil walked block to block — feeding the hungry, mentoring the lost, and standing with families when no one else would. What started as one man with a mission became a movement of healing.
HOW DA VIP CAME TO BE
Da VIP was born out of pain and purpose. After losing too many friends and family members to violence and drugs, Kahlil refused to stay silent. He founded Da VIP to be the safety net he never had — a movement built on prevention, education, and intervention.
Today, Da VIP stands as a beacon for inner city youth — providing health and wellness programs, academic support, workforce development, trade skills training, and violence and drug prevention. Every meal served, every life mentored, every door opened is a piece of Kahlil's vision made real: that no one is left behind.
