PRIVACY & YOUTH SAFETY

Plain English, no fine print. Here is exactly what Da VIP collects, why, and how to change or remove it.

What we collect

  • Enrollment (intake) forms: the child's name, birth date, age, home address, parent or guardian name, and the interests you tell us about.
  • Volunteer and newsletter forms: your name, email address, and anything you type into the message field.
  • Da VIP Academy accounts: an email address for sign-in, plus lesson progress such as completed lessons, quiz results, and points earned.
  • Donations: gifts are processed by our payment provider. Card numbers never reach Da VIP — we see only the amount, date, and the name and email on the gift.

Why we collect it

  • To contact a parent or guardian about programs, schedules, and safety.
  • To place a young person in the right program and follow their progress.
  • To thank donors and send receipts for their records.
  • To report totals — like how many young people we serve — to funders and partners. Those reports use counts, never a child's name.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.
  • We do not run advertising on Da VIP Academy, and we do not use lesson activity to target ads.
  • We do not publish a young person's name, photo, or story without a parent or guardian saying yes first.

Youth safety commitments

  • Adults who mentor or work directly with young people go through our screening process before they are placed.
  • Programs are staffed so that a young person is not alone with a single unscreened adult.
  • Inside Da VIP Academy, learner accounts are for learning. There is no open messaging between students and strangers.
  • If you believe a child is unsafe, email us at Da.VIP.314youth@gmail.com. In an emergency, call 911 first.

Your choices

  • You can ask us what we have on file for you or your child, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
  • Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can reply to any message asking to be removed.
  • Email Da.VIP.314youth@gmail.com and we will handle it.
